¾ to 1 pound steak
2 onions, medium
2 tbs. butter
1 cup Blue Cheese
1 French Baguette – large, cut into slices
Kosher Salt, Pepper – to taste
5 tbs. olive oil
1 bottle DCD Blackberry Chocolate Chipotle Sauce
Step 1: Caramelized onions
Slice onions, melt butter in sauté pan over medium heat until deep brown color develops. This process should take approximately 30 min.
Step 2: Toast French bread baguette
Spread olive oil on sliced bread and toast in 325 F oven until lightly golden brown.
Step 3: Sear steak
Salt and Pepper steak and sear to desired doneness.
Step 4: Build your crostinis!
Take crostini and smear the new Blackberry Chipotle Sauce on bread.
Add caramelized onions over sauce.
Add thinly sliced steak, 1 to 2 pieces on each bread slice.
Top with crumbled Blue Cheese, 3 -4 crumbles per slice.
