Yield: 14 cupcakes
1 box DCD Molten Lava Chocolate Cake
1 stick butter
½ cup of your favorite stout (Guinness or Young’s Chocolate Stout work best)
1 cup flour mixed with ¾ teaspoon baking soda
1 cup heavy cream
8 oz DCD Chef Series Dark Chocolate, chopped
Green sprinkles, optional
- Preheat oven to 350 degrees F. In a microwave-safe bowl, combine Molten Cake Mix with butter. Heat at 30-second intervals, stirring between each until melted.
- Whisk in stout, eggs, and flour/baking soda mixture. Pour into prepared cupcake pan.
Bake for 15-17 minutes. Remove from oven and let cool.
- In a small microwavable bowl, combine cream and chocolate. Heat at 30-second intervals, stirring between each until melted and smooth.
- Refrigerate for 1-2 hours until chilled and thickened. Spread onto cooled cupcakes and garnish with green sprinkles, if desired.
