Cocoa Apple Crisp with Chardonnay Caramel Sauce and Cocoa-Oat Streusel

6 granny smith apples; peeled, cored, and sliced
¼ cup DCD Chardonnay Caramel Sauce
½ cup light brown sugar, packed
¼ cup apple cider
2 tablespoons all purpose flour
2 teaspoons ground cinnamon

Cocoa-Oat Streusel

¾ cup DCD Whole Grain Chocolate Oatmeal
¼ cup light brown sugar, packed
2 tablespoons all purpose flour
1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
5 tablespoons butter, cut into small pieces

  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
  2. Combine DCD Chardonnay Caramel sauce, brown sugar, apple cider, flour, and cinnamon in a large bowl. Combine the apples with the sauce, and mix until the apple are evenly coated. Transfer to a 9×13 baking dish.
  3. In a separate bowl, combine DCD Whole Grain Chocolate Oatmeal, brown sugar, flour, and cinnamon. Gently cut in the butter. Sprinkle streusel over apples.

Bake for 45-55 minutes, or until the apples are tender. Garnish with additional DCD Chardonnay Caramel Sauce and DCD Chai Spiced Whipped Topping
